Situated in the heart of Emilia, where the Food and Motor Valley meet, the Wine & Balsamic Relais Roncolo 1888 is a century-old borgo surrounded by 130 hectares of organic land in the Terre di Canossa, in the foothills of the Apennine Mountains.
For many years the private residence of noble families and the result of an attentive restoration carefully preserving the heritage of the past, today Roncolo 1888 is your hideaway in the Emilian countryside and the essence of elegant hospitality in Italy’s Food Valley.
Formerly home to the estate’s lemon trees, the historic greenhouse (or “limonaia”) is today home to the Ristorante Limonaia. Bathed in light, with a splendid terrace overlooking the green hills of the Terre di Canossa, the restaurant is a place where an innovative Emilian fine dining experience finds a green dimension of tranquillity and well-being, while maintaining the estate’s respect for biodiversity and sustainability.
Quality and freshness of raw materials are the very foundation of menus devoted to exalting Emilian and Italian excellence, and special attention is paid to the fresh and seasonal ingredients, that come from Roncolo’s organic garden or are provided by carefully selected local producers with whom there are continuing relations.
In keeping with the philosophy of Tenuta Venturini Baldini, the restaurant’s cuisine is directly linked to the territory, its modern Emilian cuisine firmly anchored in the tradition of the Food Valley, and grounded in the principles of biodiversity and regenerative agriculture.
Since the opening of the Ristorante Limonaia in 2021, Chef Mario Comitale has been its gastronomic guide.
Originally from Naples, Mario Comitale, a tireless researcher of quality raw materials sourced mainly from small local producers, has been instrumental in creating the fresh, modern Emilian cuisine that Ristorante Limonaia has become known for.

The Tenuta Venturini Baldini is a unique location and the perfect backdrop for your special occasion: weddings, private parties, executive retreats, business meetings, team-building or corporate events.
With a highly personal service and tailored experiences, we are able to host small groups of 20-30 people to larger events of up to 200-500 people in our various indoors and outdoors venues.
